Non-Arabian women, western passports...suicide bomber

American law enforcement officials have been told to be on the lookout for female suicide bombers who may attempt to enter the United States, law enforcement authorities tell ABC News.

One official said at least two of them are believed to be connected to al Qaeda in Yemen, and may have a non-Arab appearance and be traveling on Western passports.

Not that I'm saying I totally disagree with profiling, but...

Without this intel, how would we have known to look for these women? Want to bet they would have probably gotten through had their explosives been hidden well enough?

That's why I DO NOT want to see us adopt overt profiling.

To begin with, I have serious reservations that most of our TSA employees can tell a blond haired, blue eyed Muslim from a dark eyed swarthy skinned Italian, or a Pakistani from a Hindu Muslim, or an extremist from Mindinao from a Japanese businessman?

Secondly, it assumes that our enemies are stupid. The second we start using overt profiling to screen for potential "man caused disasters" is the second our enemies use that against us.
