A friend sent me an email with a Power Point presentation of this Russian gift to the United States.

I checked it out at Snopes.com...

I'd never heard of it. Is it well-known in the States?

Very nice gesture which calls for 2 questions:....

1) Why didn't main stream media report it :confused:

2) Why didn't political leaders acknowledge the gift :confused:

The mural in the background has images of Vladimir Putin and George W. Bush on it. Could that have something to do with it being ignored? Is there anywhere else in the USA that has a poster of a foreign leader on it? Maybe the memorial is seen as somehow too politicized?

You would think if that is the case it would have excited some mainstream media comment, even if it's negative?
