American society has taken the concepts of "permissiveness" and "apathy" to new heights.

Its actually quite easy ...

Its what these people feed into their minds. Minds which obviously can't cope with reality to start with otherwise they should be able to control thoughts of this nature.

When one subjects himself to the idea that all his problems can be cured by eliminating those around him then society has truly lost the battle. The moral decay of society allows for the breeding of such individuals.

Many years ago things like this were vastly unheard of, exept in a few rare cases, usually done by persons bent on supreme power over people, but the moral fabric of the world has changed so greatly today.

I don't think I have to go into detail about how we've seen this moral decay come into our homes and our lives in the form of hollywood "entertainment". When it gets to the point that your average citizen can not distinguish between reality and "virtual unreality" and combines the two in his mind ... then its already too late.

Not only in mass murders, but also in the number of youth related crimes.
