i never actually cared if they were as terrible as everyone says.
for me, the bottom line is, i can go there and shop for many things, and pay less for them than i would some place else. the wait times and levels of service are somewhere below my level of unacceptable. shopping doesn't go deeper than that for me.

You might be able to purchase a care from Wal-Mart in the future...

They don't always have the quality or selection of goods I'm looking for, but other retail outlets, like grocery stores, find them hard to beat for consummables. We don't use them for groceries, per se, because the ones in our area don't have the full line, but Walmart is the place to go for toothpaste, soap, razor blades, shampoo, TP, etc.

Many people find Walmart an excellent place to shop because, while the Ma & Pa store may equal their price on a TV, and they definately can offer a wider selection. It's always "I'll have it for you, in a few days", while at Walmart you'll go home with your TV. Inventory is important to some people.

The nearest WalMart is to me is about 30 minutes away, so I tend to shop at local stores more. I might go to WalMart maybe twice a month.
