Yes the AK should be on top. It may be hard for some to swallow but the AK-47 is one helluva weapon. Super tough and reliable, accuracy is not that bad, and it fires a hardhitting round. I have used both and I presently own both rifles, not an M-16, but an AR-15 and I would prefer the AK for most situations.

My disbelief is that the M16 is ranked that high - not that it isn't #1.

Cool, the 303 British SMLE made #3. Mine is an early pre-WWI weapon made in 1908. It's still capable of hitting a 2 liter pop bottle at 300 yards (repeatedly).

I'm interested to see how the M-16 with the new gas piston system fairs against the AK.
